Overhead Door Company of Albany™ has served Albany and the Capital Region for more than 20 years. We are a locally owned company, run by David and Kimberley Ripley, working out of a 12,000 square foot warehouse and showroom at 15 Corporate Drive in Clifton Park. Eight service trucks leave that building every morning to install, repair, and maintain garage doors and openers for homes and businesses across the region.

People sometimes ask how we can be local when Overhead Door™ is a name they see across the country. The answer is the distributor model: Overhead Door Corporation builds the products, and more than 450 independently owned Ribbon Distributors like us sell, install, and service them in their own communities. You get products from the company whose founder, C. G. Johnson, invented the upward-lifting garage door in 1921 and the electric garage door opener in 1926, installed and serviced by people who live and work here.
How We Work
Our technicians are factory trained, and we stand behind every product, installation, and repair with a One Year Parts & Service Guarantee. The showroom floor carries full-scale operational doors and openers you can see, test, and operate, along with one of the area’s largest garage door parts inventories. We give free estimates on new doors, honest advice on repair versus replacement, and straight answers on pricing before any work begins.
